Anheuser-Busch is increasing its U.S. manufacturing investment to $600 million across 2025 and 2026, expanding brewery capacity, advancing supply chain operations, opening 15 technical training centers, and strengthening veteran hiring as it builds long-term resilience across its manufacturing network.

Expanding U.S. Investment

Anheuser-Busch is deepening its commitment to American manufacturing with a $600 million investment across 2025 and 2026, aimed at strengthening brewery operations, improving supply chain performance, and building the future workforce needed to support long-term growth.

The expanded investment, announced as part of the company’s ongoing Brewing Futures initiative, builds on more than 165 years of investment in U.S. production and local economic development. The company said the funding will support three strategic priorities: creating and sustaining manufacturing jobs, developing technical skills across its workforce, and expanding career pathways for veterans entering private-sector manufacturing roles.

Brendan Whitworth, CEO of Anheuser-Busch

Brendan Whitworth, CEO of Anheuser-Busch, said: “Anheuser-Busch’s $600 million investment is a testament to our unwavering commitment to the future of American manufacturing. By strengthening our manufacturing operations, we are creating sustainable careers – not just jobs – and investing in the people who are vital to our success.”

Key Findings

  • Total U.S. manufacturing investment rises to $600 million across 2025 and 2026
  • 15 new technical skills training centers to open across U.S. facilities
  • More than 90% of manufacturing employees targeted for upskilling over five years
  • 99% of beer sold by Anheuser-Busch in the U.S. is made in the U.S.
  • More than 20 Manufacturing Readiness credentials integrated to support veteran hiring

Supply Chain and Brewery Operations Gain Investment Boost

A significant portion of the investment will be directed toward brewery modernization, production efficiency, and supply chain resilience.

The company said the funding will advance technology systems, support workforce and supply chain operations through campus upgrades, and increase production and packaging capabilities for key brands including Michelob ULTRA.

These investments are designed to strengthen domestic production capacity while supporting local manufacturing jobs and operational continuity across Anheuser-Busch’s nationwide brewery network.

Technical Skills Training Centers to Support Manufacturing Workforce

To strengthen manufacturing talent pipelines, Anheuser-Busch will open 15 new technical skills training centers across its U.S. operations facilities.

The centers will provide employees with advanced training across technical fundamentals, digital tools, management systems, and mechanical and electrical systems. The company plans to upskill more than 90% of its manufacturing workforce over the next five years.

This builds on more than 2,700 employees who have already received training since the company opened its first Technical Excellence Center in St. Louis in 2022.

The brewer is also working with technical trade schools across the U.S. to align training programs with local workforce needs and strengthen long-term manufacturing career pathways.

Whitworth said the company is “proud to continue building the next generation of manufacturing leaders through our new technical training centers.”

Veteran Hiring Strategy Expands Through Manufacturing Partnerships

Anheuser-Busch is also expanding support for veterans entering manufacturing through its continued partnership with the Manufacturing Institute’s Heroes MAKE America initiative.

Since adopting the Manufacturing Institute’s Manufacturing Readiness Badges in 2025, the company has integrated more than 20 credentials that help translate military training into skills required for manufacturing roles.

In 2026, the company and the Manufacturing Institute are accelerating adoption of the Heroes MAKE America Talent Network, powered by SmartResume, a platform designed to make military skills more visible and easier for employers to assess.

Anheuser-Busch has embedded the tool into its career website to support veteran hiring and simplify the application process. The company said nearly 25% of the more than 600 SmartResumes completed across the industry to date originated from its platform.

Jay Timmons, President and CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers, said: “Anheuser-Busch’s expanded investment is a commitment to the American worker and the future of our nation’s strength in manufacturing.”

He added that the training centers and trade school partnerships “will transform careers and enable the manufacturing workforce of today and tomorrow to develop the critical skills they need to build life-changing careers, grow our economy and shape American communities.”
